NEW COACHES NEEDED
HOW TO BECOME A SOCCER COACH
The most important thing to consider in becoming a soccer coach is if you have an interest in helping kids play the game. If being on the field having fun with the players and helping them develop sounds appealing, read on.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
For recreational soccer, the emphasis is on making it a fun experience for all the players, and teaching very basic skills. You don’t have to know the game as much as you want to be organized and communicate well with the kids and parents.
To coach at the competitive development level, it’s helpful to know the game reasonably well and to have coached several seasons.
If either the recreational or developmental approach to coaching sounds good to you, the next step is to apply.
STEPS TO REGISTER
There are two steps to becoming a T&C soccer coach. First register using the button below with T&C through our SportsEngine system. It’s very brief and enables you to to be assigned as a coach in our SE App.
Next, you’ll receive an email to apply to coach through GotSport, the system used by the soccer governing organizations. They will run a criminal background check and you’ll be given additional education, ultimately leading to being certified to coach. Click on the button below for detailed SportsEngine and GotSport Information (certifications required, new CAYSA/WDDOA/STYSA rules, etc) and GotSport Troubleshooting.

Please do not pay for premium account as T&C Soccer has all T&C soccer coaches covered and will get you set up and linked to your team. See below for helpful documents.
